Marketing and communications

Different language. Same message.

Getting the message across is priority number one in the field of marketing, communications and sales. A text should be just as sophisticated in the target language as it is in the source language because the objective is to engage and move readers and show a product in a favourable light. To this end, translators might take linguistic liberties. Is there a similar saying in the foreign language? Does the foreign language text reach the same goal?

To ensure that the message is transported, our specialised marketing translators may give full rein to their creativity. They might play with the language, blurring the border between translation and text creation. The main thing is that the message comes across! This type of translation is often called transcreation.

Communication materials are often completed in one language first so they are usually already available as InDesign brochures, PowerPoint presentations or programmed websites before the translation is created. These texts can be translated directly or by means of suitable export formats, eliminating the need for any additional steps such as manual conversion into other formats.

The IDML export routine is used to extract texts from InDesign brochures for translation. The IDML file is translated using a CAT tool and then sent to the graphics designer who imports it into the desired layout in a single step without having to copy and paste text segments individually. This saves a great deal of time and eliminates possible sources of error. If a document is to be printed after translation, the final proof is checked a very last time by the translator.

Benefit from our wide range of languages and ensure that you have top quality communication materials for marketing measures around the globe!
